everyone wants to know the things which are going in the mind.Yes, it is possible to know the things going inside the mind and yes it is possible to connect the brain with the computer.
By the help of Brain Computer Interface, Brain computer interface is a pathway between a human brain and an external device whose actions are controlled by the brain it is connected to.
Brain computer interface is also known as Brain Machine Interface or Direct Brain Machine.
Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) acquire brain signals, analyze them, and translate them into commands that are related to output devices that carry out desired actions. BCIs do not use normal neuro muscular output pathways. 
The following is the working of BCI

The main goal of BCI is to replace or restore useful function to people disabled by neuromuscular disorders such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, cerebral palsy, stroke, or spinal cord injury. From initial demonstrations of electroencephalography-based spelling and single-neuron-based device control, researchers have gone on to use electroencephalographic, intracortical, electrocorticographic, and other brain signals for increasingly complex control of cursors, robotic arms, prostheses, wheelchairs, and other devices.
 In the future, they might augment the performance of surgeons or other medical professionals. Brain-computer interface technology is the focus of a rapidly growing research and development enterprise that is greatly exciting scientists, engineers, clinicians, and the public in general. 
Its future achievements will depend on advances in 3 crucial areas.
  •  Brain-computer interfaces need signal-acquisition hardware that is convenient, portable, safe, and able to function in all environments.
  •  Brain-computer interface systems need to be validated in long-term studies of real-world use by people with severe disabilities, and effective and viable models for their widespread dissemination must be implemented.
  •  Finally, the day-to-day and moment-to-moment reliability of BCI performance must be improved so that it approaches the reliability of natural muscle-based function.


The Electric Brain

The reason a BCI works at all is because of the way our brains function. Our brains are filled with neurons, individual nervecells connected to one another by dendrites and axons. Every time we think, move, feel or remember something, our neurons are at work. That work is carried out by small electric signals that zip from neuron to neuron .
so the benefits are soo many it is useful for the disable people for it is like blessing they can easily tell their needs to the other peoples. 
BCI can be used as a 
  • ear chip for deaf people and 
  • can also be for vision for paralyzed peopled it is just a boon.
  • it help the peoples to express the feeling and thought.
  • and important  thing is that it is used as lie detector.



If we have some thing we will be having disadvantage of that thing so here the disadvantages of BCI 
  • it is very expensive
  • the rate it transfer the information is less 
  • learning and adapting is difficult 
 it is just a magic for the disable people to lead the normal life .But the prices are soo high that a normal person cannot afforts it.But yeah! it might be  there is delay but no denial.
It is most unexpected and unimagined invention of the latest technology.Due to its drawbacks it cannot make the pathway today but BCI surely make the pathway by 2020.and also a pathway to the visual reality.
There are no great limits to growth because there are no limits of human intelligence, imagination, and wonder.
